Not all cats are born with a longing for the thrill of survival in the wild. Kittypets live in the Twolegplace beyond Moonclan and Sunclan with their twoleg housefolk to look after them. Though there's always at least one of these Kittypets who long for the trees surrounding them and the wind tugging their perfect fur.

The Mountains
Past Moonclan, past Twolegplace, past the farm, are the mighty mountains. Deep in these masses of rock, within a gorge, live a tribe of cats, quite different from the clans. Although these cats survive well, there are many dangers. Cliffs, crevices, rockfalls, hawks, eagles, and mountain lions. A cat with no survival instinct would die in a day.
