History of the Clans

At first, there was just SunClan. Less of a Clan, than a gang of loners. They had no code, or belief in StarClan. But the cats flourished in the untamed wilderness. It was chock full of prey, and life.
But one greenleaf, there was a drought. The prey left, leaving SunClan to starve. In desperation for food, the clans spilt, and MoonClan was created on the other half of the river. The rabbit warrens was a valuable food supply, and the clans fought over the territory constantly, because the clan without it, would most likely die out.
It wasn't long before each clan's leaders, and deputies were killed in battle.
With the clans broken and lacking leadership, cats began to die. There was chaos. But there were cats watching out for them. StarClan. The heavenly warriors appeared in both Clan's camps. It was their leaders, no doubt, telling them to meet at the great oak tree.
Confused and desperate, they went, and both clans met at the tree, where the StarClan cats appeared to them again. They told them that the fighting must stop, if they wish to survive. They explained that two new clans needed to be formed, so they could divide the food, and prevent wars. StreamClan and CloudClan were formed, and once again the cats split.
They survived that greenleaf, not one more cat died. And thus the belief in StarClan originated as well. It has been many season since then, but overall, very few battles have occured. The Rabbit warrens is still contested between SunClan and Moonclan, because a border was never set. SunClan claims it is theirs because it is on their side of the river. But Moonclan says that because they occupied it the most during the dark ages that it should be theirs. As well as a true border was never set. This is the only contest between the clans.
Now they live in peace, at least, as much as they can...
